Meridian CUSD #223 Earns Bright Star Award
One of 80 Illinois districts recognized
October 27, 2007
Meridian CUSD #223 was recently notified that it earned the Bright Star Award, which is presented by SchoolSearch. Meridian CUSD was one of only 80 school districts to earn the recognition (out of 872). The award criteria are based on districts whose student academic achievement performance ranks in the upper one third of Illinois School Districts, but whose expenditure per pupil ranks in the lower one fourth of Illinois school districts. The source for this year's award is the 2006 Illinois Report Card.
The school district is pleased to receive the award, which reflects the strong commitment of the School Board, staff and community to provide a quality education at a reasonable cost.
