Board Seeks Community Focus Group Participants
Approximately 10-15 needed for April 3 Session
March 26, 2008
The Meridian CUSD #223 is hosting a Community Focus Group Session on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Stillman Valley High School. Because several community members invited by the School Board and administrators are not able to attend, the School Board would like to fill those spots by open invitation. Interested community members will be selected on a first come, first served basis until the spots are filled. If a community member is interested and able to attend, please contact Board Secretary, Donna Fruin, at (815) 645-2606.
The purpose of the focus group session is to accomplish three goals:
1) Provide factual information related to the School District, including performance levels, financial status and the present organizational long range vision.
2) Provide an opportunity for small group discussion. Seven groups will be utilized with one School Board member and two administrators assigned to each group. Each group will be asked to respond to the following questions: What are you proud of in Meridian CUSD #223; What concerns do you have?; What recommendations do you have for the School District?; How are we doing in regard to organizational trust?
3) Provide the Board, Administration and District Leadership Team a better understanding of the participating community members' perspectives of the School District.
