2011-12 MJHS 8th Grade News

Freshman Class Registration - Feb 7th

8th Grade Students will be registering for their freshman year classes on Tuesday, February 7.  Please be sure to have your class registration sheet with you or turn it in the office by Monday, February 6.

 

The MJHS Spelling Bee will be held Wednesday, February 8th in Room 214 (Mrs. Stewart).  If you are interested in competing, please sign up in the office and pick up the information by Tuesday, February 7th.  Good Luck.

Our New & Improved "PBIS Store" is Open. 
Start earning bird bucks to purchase items at the store. Minimum amount needed is 3 to purchase items.
Donations are welcome for the PBIS Store:
Items to Donate:
Locker Organization Items - Magnets, Shelves, Mirrors etc.
Pencils, Gel Pens, Folders (Boys & Girls), Sharpies (colored), Cool Erasers
Candy Bars, Vitamin Water, Gift Cards

The following link will take you to our school's solar panel website.  

Once you are there, click on the orange link above the picture that says, "Show Solar Data".  This will take you to real-time data for the energy that our panel is generating.  There is data dating all the way back to October when our panel was initially installed, even though they just got the website going.  It is pretty neat to look at the weekly and monthly tabs, keeping in mind the weather changes we have had on a seasonal and daily basis.

PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) Reminders:  Students can only use cell phones and wear hats after school hours.  Also, gum can only be chewed outside of school not in the building.  This is a reminder to keep in mind the dress code.  Shorts must be finger tip length and tops must must have cap sleeves on the shoulder.  If you have any questions about the PBIS reminders, please contact a teacher.
