Board Appoints Jagielski for Vacant Board Seat
3 Candidates Interview for Seat

At a special meeting held on Thursday, May 7th, the Meridian School Board interviewed three candidates to fill the open board seat previously held by Mr. Tim King. Prior to the interviews, the Board established criteria for the content of the interview questions which included: motivation to serve; interpersonal skills; ethics; background; decision making and understanding of the role and function of the Board and a Board member. The candidates were scored on each of their responses. The Meridian Board was impressed with the quality of the responses from all candidates. The Board voted unanimously to appoint Mr. Tim Jagielski, who received the highest score based on the established criteria. Mr. Jagielski was previously elected to two four year terms to the Meridian School Board from 2001 to 2009. He has also served on numerous Board committees through his previous eight years of service.
