Confessions to both MJH and MC "Copycat" Threats

On Thursday, May 7, a Meridian Junior High School student admitted to the "copycat" writing on the wall in the boys' restroom at MJH, which reflected a similar kind of threat that was discovered at Stillman Valley High School on Monday. The student will be disciplined consistent with Meridian CUSD #223 Board policy.
On Friday, May 8, a Monroe Center Elementary School student admitted to the "copycat" writing on the wall on the wall in a girls' restroom at Monroe Center. Likewise, the student will be disciplined consistent with Meridian CUSD #223 Board policy.
The SVHS investigation is still underway with District staff and the Ogle County Sheriff's Department.
