Board Places Policy Manual on Display
Scheduled to be adopted at October 22 meeting

After several months of working with a consultant from the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB), the Meridian School Board completed an extensive policy customization process and placed the manual on display at its regularly scheduled September 24th meeting. The Board's Policy Committee consisting of Board Members Ron Steenken, Bruce Larson and Kevin Glendenning; along with administrators Bob Prusator and Jennifer Porter and high school teacher William Polasky, reviewed and updated the District's entire policy manual to provide direction and oversight for all District programs, services and operations. Another benefit of the process is the manual will be in a PDF format and easily searchable. It's anticipated the manual will be recommended for adoption at the Board's regularly scheduled meeting on October 22nd. The Board is interested in any community feedback on the policy manual.
