Health Services Department

H1N1 Vaccine Now Limited to Children 4-9 Years Old

Lower Supply of Vaccination Sent to OCHD

October 23, 2009

The Ogle County Health Department (OCHD) has notified the School District that, due to a shortage in the supply of H1N1 vaccine, the scheduled vaccination clinic on October 30 will only be offered to students at Highland and Monroe Center Schools who are between the ages of 4-9 years old. This means that children under 4 and over 9 years old and adults with underlying health conditions WILL NOT be able to get the vaccination at this time.

OCHD has scheduled the 2nd round of vaccinations for November 20th. If there are more doses available at that time, those students and family members who were interested in getting the vaccine will be able to do so.
