MCUSD Food Distribution
As you know, schools are scheduled to remained closed through April 7th and the state has been placed under a ‘stay at home’ order. To be honest, my best guess is that the ordered closure will be extended. Given the uncertainty, however, I have little guidance I can provide at this time. For that, I am sorry. Additionally, as we remain closed, all school activities are cancelled/postponed. It pains me as our watch our students, particularly our Seniors, miss out on important and traditional events and gatherings.
The only district activity scheduled to occur over the next two weeks will be Food Distribution. We are pleased to announce they we were able to distribute 910 meals to our community last week. Based on what we learned from our first distribution attempt we will be making a few changes for tomorrow.
We will decrease to four pick up sites serving families from 8 to 10 AM:
Lastly, I know this is an extremely stressful time for our families. We have uploaded some helpful links to the main page of our website (www.meridian223.org) to help provide support if you or your student is struggling through this trying time. Lastly, and as always, our faculty, staff, and administration are all ready and eager to help any student or family in distress.
