With cold and flu season right around the corner, please remind your students to wash their hands and cover their coughs and sneezes to help everyone stay well! If your student is experiencing a fever at or above 100.0ᵒF, vomiting, or diarrhea, they should be kept home from school. They can return to school after being free of the above symptoms for 24 hours. If your student is diagnosed with strep throat, in addition to being fever- free for 24 hours, 24 hours must have passed since your student has begun taking an antibiotic, as prescribed by your physician. This information can also be found in your school handbook. Please feel free to contact your child’s school nurse with any questions or concerns. Thank you for helping keep all of our students healthy! Meridian 223 Nurses
