 Go Green Day

Earth Day 2008

On Tuesday, April 22, the 7th grade science classes celebrated Earth Day in a very special way.

The students were asked to bring in any type of recyclable materials that could be used to create a free form “person”.  The students brought in a variety of items including water bottles, pop cans, detergent bottles, pizza boxes, cereal boxes, cat litter tubs, milk cartons and jugs, and newspapers.

Each class was then asked to create two "people" with the items that they brought it.  Within 40 minutes they worked cooperatively in two groups to construct their VERY creative works of "recyclable" art.  Each “person” also had a sign about ways to “GO GREEN” in 2008!

The slide show above has pictures of the recyclable “people” that each class constructed.  Be assured that each “person” will be taken apart and recycled through my home recycling program!  Enjoy the pictures!
