Meridian School Board Election Information
Nominating petitions for four (4) Board of Education positions in the Meridian CUSD 223 will be available for prospective candidates to circulate beginning on September 23rd. Three (3) of the open positions will be four-year terms and one (1) position will be a two-year term. The positions opening are currently being held by John Smith, Dr. Tim Flynn, Kristine Youman, and Bruce Larson. Remaining members of the Board of Education are Kevin Glendenning (Scott), Tim Devries (Marion North), and Marsha Welden (Marion North).
In addition to meeting the signature requirement on the petition, other acts must be completed which are explained in the candidate packet. The candidate packet, which can begin to be circulated on September 23rd, are available at the Ogle County Clerk’s Office or online. To access online, please follow these steps:
- Visit www.oglecounty.org
- Click on 'County Clerk' (located under Departments)
- Click on 'Elections'
- Select 'School Candidate Packet'
