2019-20 MJHS Student Council News

SVHS Student Council Applications Available for Next Year

Stillman Valley High School is now accepting applications for student council positions for the 2020-2021 school year. All applications are due by Monday, May 11 at noon. To access the Google Form Application Form online, please go to: https://www.stillmanvalleyhigh.org/vnews/display.v/ART/5ea32544bf0c7

The new student council team for the 2020-2021 year will be announced on Friday, May 15, and the first meeting for Student Council will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m.

Any questions regarding the application process can be sent to Tamara Wood at twood@mail.meridian223.org.

We have received word that the convention is officially cancelled. While this is extremely disappointing, it was expected given the current situation. IAJHSC is sending refund checks for the convention and T-shirts. We will let everyone know when we receive the money back!

What have you all been up to?  I have seen a lot of exciting posts on Facebook about students doing their part to help during this pandemic!  Even something as small as teaching a grandparent to use face time ... or putting hearts in your windows! Every little bit you can do to lift others up is worth doing!  I am so proud of all our students at MJHS - I miss you and can't wait to see you all! - Ms. White

Student Council Meetings are almost every other Wednesday at 7:30 am in the Health room.

February 28th is our next Jr High Dance/Rec Night from 7:00-9:00. We are excited to plan a Polar Express Theme this time!  We are looking for volunteers to help chaperone as well as volunteers to help make Polar Express Themed Treats!  Please contact Micki White at mwhite@mail.meridian223.org or 815-988-7361 if you can help out!

TREX Update... Meridian Jr High was able to collect enough plastic to receive a donated bench from TREX!  Our competition will continue through Spring Break and Student Council will announce which Grade won a breakfast pizza party by bringing in the most plastic!
