MERIDIAN JUNIOR HIGH CELEBRATES VETERAN’S DAY 2017 Meridian Junior High School celebrated Veterans Day on Friday, November 10. During the shortened day, the students attended three different activities. They wrote cards to be sent to soldiers overseas for the holidays, they completed a 1 mile walk for Dark Horse Lodge, and they listened to members of the Marines and Air Force. They spoke to our students and staff about the importance of Veteran’s Day and why we celebrate it. They also shared what qualifications our students would need if they wish to enter into the various services. The eighth grade students listened to several Veterans that served in the Vietnam war. Each Veteran shared their background during the war. MJHS would like to thank the following to come in and share their information with our eighth grade students: Charles Larson, Ed McMahon, John Janos, Jim McGee, Pat Derry, Nick Parnello, and Steve Spencer The day concluded with an assembly in the gym.
