We are using the last day of the school year to celebrate these students. I wish all of our 5th graders best wishes for a great summer and their entrance into Junior High. We had so much fun today with their class photo, surprising them with a building-wide clap out, making water balloons, sharpening their baseball arm with Mrs. Simpson and staff, and having some fun outside together. A day full of awards, celebrations, and a ton of laughter .

Meridian Jr. High Student Council Rocks Leadership Retreat!
In May, the Meridian Jr. High Student Council embarked on an unforgettable Leadership Retreat in Glen Haven, WI at the beautiful Log Cabin Retreat! The weekend was packed with team-building challenges, leadership activities, food prep, hiking, fishing, time with chickens, and plenty of fun and laughter along the way.
Our 8th-grade members took their leadership to the next level by completing a book study on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Each student led a chapter discussion and planned a hands-on activity to bring their habit to life.
We are incredibly proud of the growth, teamwork, and enthusiasm these students have shown throughout the year. This retreat was the perfect way to celebrate their hard work and leadership journey!

Thank you to all of those who made Monroe Center's Leadership Day a huge success. Our students did a fantastic job giving tours, enjoying dodgeball with their families, sharing their incredible leadership abilities, and simply being the incredible individuals we know they can be every day! Thank you so much to Mr. Lichty for helping Monroe Center's student lighthouse team learn about the history of Monroe Center Grade School. They did a school tour and were able to interview and take notes to learn all about our beginnings. it was so exciting listening to the conversations!
