Congratulations to our Monroe Center students who have made it to the Million Word Wall! Josephine is guiding the way with over 1,000,000 words, motivating us all. William and Samuel are not far behind, having read over 500,000 words. While Regan, Kyla, Evelyn, Keegan, Luna, Reid, and Owen have each made significant strides by reading over 250,000 words. Their dedication and progress are truly inspiring!

Our MJHS Cross Country team traveled to Pecatonica on Saturday and had a record-breaking day. All 9 of our runners who were able to make the meet set a new PR (personal record). Our girls' team took 1st place overall, and Avery S. finished in first place with an easy lead of 23 seconds. Kaydin H. came in 4th place. Logan L. led our boys' team with a 6th place finish. Great job and congratulations to all of our runners!

Is it possible to have a reading nook on the go or in the car? You sure can, and if you're not sure how to do it, just ask Sophie how, and she'll share her reading tips. Way to read on the go. Keep up the great work!

With 4th and 5th grades away on a field trip, several staff members (Judy, Maria, Barbara, Danny, and Sofia) were able to join Mr. Johnson's 3I PE. What a fun way to engage concepts of movement, communication, and non-locomotor skills. How many people remember this from their childhood?

Mrs. Simpson promised the Monroe Center students that she'd share her reading nook on social media this evening. This is her favorite place to read. 📚📘📖 We hope that as we get ready for the One Book One School arrival that our families can create their own reading fort, nook, or favorite place to read and post here with us. Join in the fun as we get ready to read as one big family!
